Kim Pope: Why employee well-being programs are so important

Throughout the pandemic, work-life balance rose in importance among employees. As a result, many companies are now prioritizing employee well-being and mental health. 

Reporters from the Forbes Human Resources Council interviewed Kim Pope, COO of WilsonHCG, to seek advice on what makes an effective employee well-being program.  

"We launched a summer schedule program at WilsonHCG to give employees the opportunity to work alternating four-day weeks (with Fridays off) during the summer,” she added. 

Pope said the program received so much positive feedback that a winter version was also launched last year. She explained that the extra time off allowed employees to “recharge their batteries and spend time with their families”.
