[TITLE CARD] 10 questions with WilsonHCG's Jennifer Koss

1: How can companies create a strong culture?
Strong culture comes from strong leadership, so if leaders are strong examples of the culture and embrace the values of the organization, that can be contagious within a company. Companies also need to make sure that they're hiring DNA fits that will help support their culture, not just in the short-term but the long-term as well.

2: If you could interview one person, who would it be?
Hands down, Jimmy Fallon. I love to laugh, and he's so entertaining. I can only imagine how fun that interview would be.

3: What advice do you have for managing a virtual team?
Make sure that you're always working to keep team engagement high. Teams that are engaged are typically very happy and they produce amazing results.

4: What's your favorite dinner?
This is easy. I love Thai food.

5: Working virtually, how do you maintain work-life balance?
I work hard during working hours and I really strive to create boundaries with my home office, so making sure that if i need to turn it off, I turn it off and I can walk away, or close the proverbial door to my office.

6: If you weren't in recruitment, what would be your dream job?
Honestly, I think politics might have been something I would have been really interested had I not landed in recruiting.

7: What's the key to building long-term partnerships with clients?
Being genuine, transparent, and acting with integrity is really important to building long-term relationships. On top of that, always look for ways to increase your value proposition with your clients, and follow through with your action items. Also, don't shy away from hard conversations. Those are the ones that make you better and move partnerships forward.

8: What's your go-to Starbucks order?
Grande Pike's Place black, or if I'm feeling like a treat, a hot vanilla latte with coconut milk.

9: What topics are talent leaders talking about?
The market is extremely hot for talent, and leaders are wanting to know right now, "How do I retain it and how do I attract it?" More than ever.

10: What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Coffee. But all kidding aside, working with my teams and my peers here at WilsonHCG. I can't think of a better company to work for, and it's really a privilege every day I get to come into work and work with all the wonderful people here at WilsonHCG.
