WilsonHCG’s acquisition of Personify featured in Triangle Business Journal

Following WilsonHCG’s acquisition of Personify, John Wilson, CEO at WilsonHCG, and Ryan Carfley, President and CEO at Personify, spoke with reporters at Triangle Business Journal. 

The pair have known each other for over a decade with Carfley considering Wilson to be a trusted advisor and friend. Though technically competitors, Carfley and Wilson grew close after facing similar challenges during pandemic. “In the dead of Covid, [I] could pick up the phone and, chances are, Wilson was dealing with the same obstacles,” Carfley explained. 

Then, about a year ago, they entered early deal discussions as Personify, an RPO provider specializing in life sciences, healthcare, biotech and pharmaceuticals, looked for ways to scale and WilsonHCG looked for ways to expand its offerings.  

“Speaking with [Carfley] it was evident that if the rest of the company was like him … it would be something we would be very interested in,” Wilson said, adding that “it became clear to everyone involved that this would be a very exciting match.”
