HRreview: Janine Chidlow discusses UK labour market statistics

Janine Chidlow, managing director at WilsonHCG, was interviewed by reporters at HRreview regarding the UK’s hiring landscape.

Despite the UK’s relatively stabilised unemployment rate, Chidlow cautions that inactivity levels of people aged 16-24 are the “highest levels reported in the last four years.”

She explained the urgent need to encourage this segment of workers toward meaningful employment to add core skills in the UK, or risk facing a skills deficit on a more significant scale.
