[Q&A] Working as a Talent Attraction Specialist at WilsonHCG

WilsonHCG’s global footprint spans six continents and 35 countries -  how do you collaborate with colleagues?

WilsonHCG makes it really easy to collaborate with colleagues. We have a number of tools including Fuze, Zoom and Google Hangouts - all of which help us to stay connected. With regards to our clients, we hold video conference calls and use instant messaging.

Outside of that, we’ve also got a number of committees and we use Workplace to share ideas and tips. I’m also involved with the Inclusion and Engagement Committee and we get together once or twice a month to discuss ideas about how we can get staff involved with various initiatives so that they feel part of the team.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

My favourite thing is the fact that I get to talk to a whole range of people every single day. WilsonHCG really encourages collaboration. There is always someone available to answer questions too.

What’s your career highlight so far?

My career highlight so far is my personal development. I’ve really been able to develop here at WilsonHCG. When I first started I was screening candidates and that was the only experience I had in the recruitment world, but now I’m able to speak to hiring managers to assess their needs and then find suitable candidates.

What advice do you have for anyone new to the WilsonHCG family?

The best advice I have is to be yourself. There’s so many people from different backgrounds based in the Manchester office and we’ve all come together so well. They’re not just colleagues, they’re also my friends and I go out with them after work. That’s what you get at WilsonHCG, you get friends from all over the world!
