Forbes HR Council: Avoiding employee burnout | WilsonHCG

The rise of remote work and the COVID-19 pandemic have both contributed to increased employee burnout. Research has suggested many employees feel a blurred line between work and personal life while in their homes, which further contributes to fatigue.

To help separate these often-blurred lines, WilsonHCG's COO Kim Pope spoke to Forbes reporters about the importance of taking brain breaks to reset. "Have a meeting while taking a walk or give yourself time away from your home office to inspire creativity," she said. "It's important to be compassionate and trust your team members," Pope added. Doing so will take the pressure off employees who think they are always expected to be "on" (which should never be the case) and give them breathing room between tasks.
