Use company values to differentiate instead of buzzwords | WilsonHCG

Does your organization use buzzwords?  The word “innovative” is perhaps one of the most commonly used today. However, as buzzwords go, it's fair to say that "innovative" is often overused by many companies.

Ken Bowles, CFO at WilsonHCG, was interviewed by reporters at The Business Journals Leadership Trust about words businesses can use instead of "innovative." He recommended companies spell out what value they could bring to a potential customer in jargon-free terms, rather than using buzzwords.

That way, he added, potential customers will be able to make informed decisions when they see the use case of what’s on offer.
