Craig Sweeney, executive vice president of global strategic talent solutions at WilsonHCG, discussed how organizations can stay one step ahead of competitors during challenging times and position themselves as an employer of choice, in a recent interview with HRO Today magazine.
Trend 1: Hiring approaches should pivot towards providing security and support during periods of uncertainty.
“Candidates want security, and they want to work for companies that treat their people well,” Sweeney said.
Trend 2: Up-to-date employer branding and EVPs remain critical.
“Employee expectations have changed so much over the past couple of years, so organizations must modernize their employment brands if they haven’t already to ensure they align with their employee value propositions,” Sweeney added.
Trend 3: Technology is a must to support the candidate journey.
“Talent teams must maintain a continuous dialogue with candidates to keep them updated throughout the process and technology can really help to support this. Recruiters must provide feedback to all candidates, not just those who were successful,” Sweeney concluded.
